MY CLASS DIARY

In this class we start with the European Language Portfolio also known as ELP which was developed by the Language Policy Program of the Council of Europe to support the development of learner autonomy and to allow users to record their language learning achievements. The portfolio consists of 3 parts: (passport of languages, linguistic biography, dossier) and it has a double function: pedagogical and informative or register. We were also seeing several examples of some student dossiers which were made with boxes, cereal boxes, shoe boxes, etc. This dossier contains all the work they have done: drawings, letters to the Three Wise Men, to Father Christmas, a postcard, etc. I think this is a good resource for students to be responsible for their things.

In this class we begin the Common European Framework known as CEFR. The CEFR provides a common basis for the development of language study programs, curricular guidelines, exams, textbooks, etc. in all Europe. The Framework also defines levels of competency that allow students' progress to be measured at each stage of learning and throughout life and provides the means for educational administrators, course designers, teachers, teacher educators, examination bodies, etc. . One of the objectives of the CEFR is that the Member States can achieve greater convergence at European level, that only through a better knowledge of modern European languages will it be possible to facilitate communication and interaction between Europeans of different mother tongues, that the the rich heritage of diverse languages and cultures in Europe is a valuable common resource that must be protected and developed. During these two days we have seen in class the work of our classmates on the methods. Thanks to these presentations I have been able to remember methods that we studied last year in the methodologies subject. On the other hand, speaking of my group's presentation, I really liked doing this work since it dealt with the content-based, task-based and participatory approach, which I believe is a method that can be brought to class since it is Work on the target language in other subjects in order to do mini tasks until reaching the final task and the children work cooperatively so they are all participating at the same time. There is no class due to the Hispanic Day celebration. 

In this session, the teacher explained the unit one assignments that we had to do and we were given time in class to do it. Among the works we carry out are the preamble timeline, the mental map of decree 81/2022 Primary Education Curriculum in which we had to introduce the chapters and articles included, a legal outline of the organic law 3/2020 in which we have to mention the different chapters, titles and articles included in them and giving an example, and finally, an activity to determine the relationship between the objectives established for the stage and the key competencies. I consider that it is essential as future teachers that we know the law well, since it is the basis of education. On the other hand, working in groups in class, I think it has many advantages as it helps us resolve doubts between us since what one does not know the other can know.

In this class we have continued working on the curriculum such as the new definitions that it includes, among which are the learning situations, the basic knowledge, which are new concepts introduced in this curriculum and we must first know what they mean in order to work on them well. In addition, we were also discussing the three cycles of two years each one, which seems better to me since a teacher accompanies these students for both years. Another concept that I have learned is that of operational descriptors, since we had heard about them, but we had never delved into their function. These descrptors are written in the same way: what, how and why. And, finally, we talk about the great importance of the competencies, since they enter into all areas of primary education.
